Are you looking for pizzas based on Italian Neapolitanian cuisine? Well, if you are, then Grosso Napoletano is what you are looking for. The first time we went to Grosso we were shocked. It was as if we had just walked into a bar at the beach during summer. Full of all sorts of people, socializing without a single worry about life, talking about their daily occurrences and experiences. Just enjoying their time in the present. Just that in this case, it was a restaurant in the middle of Madrid, on a cold winter day.
Grosso was a splendid experience for all of us. We all sat down and were instantly kindly greeted by our server. He asked for our drinks and offered us the menu. Coming from an international background, we were particularly shocked by their variety. They not only had the typical Napoletana style pizza but also had pizza for vegetarian and vegan people, and even lactose intolerant people. This allowed all types of customers to enjoy their food. In our case, we ordered two types of pizza: the diabola and the margherita. Even though these are some of the most basic types of pizzas, they ended up being extraordinary at Grosso. The amazing thick crust, the great dough and the splendid mix of ingredients made these stand out from any other pizza that we have tried before. As we wrapped up and paid our bill, something out of the ordinary happened to us. The owner decided to invite us to dessert.
These are the reasons as to why Grosso Napoletano stands out from all of the other pizzerias in Madrid, and also the reason why it got a rating of 4.3 /5.
